Playing the games

Void Patrol, Meteor, Chainfall and Rimfire store your best scores, your sound and volume settings, and a few game options in this browser. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them. There are no accounts and no shared leaderboards.

Playing Chainfall online

When you play a friend online, your game sends your button presses through our server to your friend’s browser, and theirs to yours. The server keeps track of the room only while it is in use and records when a room is created and joined. It does not record your IP address or the moves you make.

Website appearance

If you select Light or Dark, this website saves that preference in your browser’s local storage. Choose System to remove the saved override and follow your device’s appearance setting. The setting is stored separately for each website.

Using the website

The website and games contain no advertising, no third-party analytics and no cookies. Loading a page sends ordinary requests to our server, including your IP address and browser request information. The server does not keep logs of these visits.

How we count visits and plays

To learn which games people enjoy, each page view and each game you start or finish sends a short anonymous message to our own server: which page or game, the game mode, whether the autopilot was playing, and how long the game lasted. We keep only daily totals.

To count how many different people visit in a day without tracking anyone, the server combines your IP address and browser name with a random value that is replaced every day, and keeps only the scrambled result. It never stores your IP address. The daily value and the scrambled results are deleted when the day ends, so visits on different days can’t be linked to each other or to you.

Suggestions you send

When you use Suggest a change, we store your message and, if you give one, your email address, and forward them to our support inbox so we can read and reply. You don’t need to give an email address.
